Sigma House Brick Campaign

  • With all the different women we have become over the years, there is one thing that remains constant: our Sigma (and even better) Delta Pi Bond! From our Charter Members who have seen their own daughters join their chapter to the recent graduates still searching for their next road in life, it’s great to know that no one can ever take away the experience that ties us together as sisters and has made us each better women!

Our historic Chapter House is a beautiful home that houses around 10 members and serves as a fun place to socialize for the chapter. With such a great location, it is also host to many sisterhood events, smaller recruitment parties, and committee meetings. The dedicated House Corporation is committed to making the house a safe and attractive place to live that will serve the chapter needs for many years to come.

    Brick Fundraiser

A personalized, engraved brick will showcase your loving donation to the Chapter House and your memory of Delta Pi at Winthrop. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward installation of the new brick walkway, landscaping/curb appeal, a privacy fence, and start the fund for future projects.

    Order your brick at www.bricksrus.com/order/sigmahouse

The Bricks'r'us website only accepts E-check payments, however, credit card payments can be made through this chapter website. When ordering at bricksrus.com, still enter you payment amount and when asked for check number enter 9999 (we will know this means you are paying by credit card on the chapter website rather than paying by check). Then come back to this chapter website and go to the "alumnae tab" and then "donate" to enter your credit card payment information.

The Master Plan will be done in phases as money is raised.

The Phases are not yet concrete but this list will serve as a general outline.

    PHASE 1

    •  Remove cement drainage trough near front porch; replace with underground drainage
    • Remove taller bushes surrounding porch (which currently create safety issue as someone could easily hide in them) and replace with attractive low ground covering plants
    • Install engraved donor bricks for new walkway and some lighting
    • Add Low masonry retaining wall and steps leading from sidewalk into the new walkway
    • Paint front porch

    PHASE 2

    • Add 6-foot Privacy Fence around perimeter of property (to provide security and privacy)
    • Add deck including handicap accessible ramp to rear of house (we are not currently handicap accessible).
    • Add plants with privacy fence for accent and to frame lawn
