My name is Brooke Alberson and I am the Membership Recruitment Director for Sigma Sigma Sigma! My job is to coordinate information sessions, Informal Recruitment parties during the Fall semester and the Formal Recruitment party in the Spring for those interested in Greek Life and Tri-Sigma!
Informal Recruitment-Held during the Fall, Informal is a very casual party in which we invite all upperclassmen ladies to come out and learn about our values and sisterhood!
This September, we held a “Girls, Pearls, and Memories” informal party, after which we received 11 amazing new members! Tri-Sigma plans to hold 3 more information sessions this semester….dates coming soon!
Formal Recruitment-Held during the Spring, Formal Recruitment is a 3 day recruitment event in which all 5 sororities associated with College Panhellinic Counsel participate. The first day is Philanthropy; women will learn about each chapter’s primary community service association. The second day is Fraternal Values (or Sisterhood); women will learn about the personal values of the chapter’s. The third day is Preference and that evening, chapters will hold their Bid Night for their newest members!
Formal Recruitment was held January 28-30, 2011. The required GPA to participate in Formal is a 2.3. Sigma Sigma Sigma has the required GPA of a 2.6.
